. The actor Henri Peters-Arnolds was born in the Netherlands and he was able to launch an impressive film career in Germany of the 20s with some appearances in film classics. His first engagements in movies came in 1918 into being with "Lejah" (18), in the next year followed several movies like "Nach dem Gesetz" (19), "Die Augen von Jade" (19) and "Prinz Kuckuck" (19). His big time came in the 20s and he was engaged for numerous movies in which he impersonated bigger and smaller roles. His most famous movie is definitely "Das Cabinet des Dr. Caligari" (20), where he played the role of a young doctor at the side of great stars like Werner Krauss, Lil Dagover and Conrad Veidt. To his other movies of those years belong "Yoshiware, die Liebesstadt der Japaner" (20), "Opfer" (20), "Der Bucklige und die Tänzerin" (20), "Der Bagnosträfling" (21), "Die Brillantenmieze" (21), "Morast" (22), "Mädchen, die man nicht heiratet" (24), "Die Kleine aus der Konfektion" (24), "Die elf schillschen Offiziere" (26) and "Jugendsünden" (29). His film career drew to a close in the 30s and he only appeared in few more movies, among them "Schloss Vögelöd" (36), "Schabernack" (36), "Rote Orchideen" (38), "Die Nacht der Entscheidung" (38) and "Polterabend" (40). In some of his movies he was listed as Peter Arnolds instead of Henri
Peters-Arnolds.
