. The actor André Pilot (also Manfred Koempel-Pilot) began his film career in 1921 with "Das Kind der Strasse, 2. Teil" (21). In the next years followed numerous other silent movies like "Du Mädel vom Rhein" (22), "Am Brunnen vor dem Tore" (22), "Nur auf den Bergen wohnt das Glück" (23), "Aus der Jugendzeit klingt ein Lied" (25), "Weil Du es bist" (25), "Das Parfüm der Mrs. Worrington" (25), "Der Schuss im Pavillon" (25), "Das Geheimnis einer Stunde" (26), "Der siebente Junge" (26) and "Der moderne Casanova" (28). In those years he was credited as André Pilot as well as Manfred Koempel in the movies. He continued his career in the rising sound film era and he took part in the productions "Dich hab ich geliebt" (29), "Ein Mädel von der Reeperbahn" (30), "Eine Freundin so goldig wie Du" (31), "Er und seine Schwester" (31), "Die Försterchristl" (31), "S.A.-Mann Brand" (33), "Ein Kuss in der Sommernacht" (33) and "Es waren zwei Junggesellen" (36).
