. The actor Henry Pless was born as Heinrich August Gustaf Hermann Meyer in Hanover. He impersonated his first film role in the silent movie "Das schwarze Boot". It lasted ten years before he appeared in movies again. He became a demanded support actor in the 30s for some well-known productions. To his most popular movies of those years belong "Die Koffer des Herrn O.F." (31), "Der Hauptmann von Köpenick" (31), "Trenck" (32), "Spione im Savoy-Hotel" (32), "Das Testament des Dr. Mabuse" (33) and "Wasser für Canitoga" (39). He only took part in one more movie after World War II in "Geheimakten Solvay" (53).
