Gotthart Portloff

The actor Gotthart Portloff was born as Carl Gothart Polster in Dresden. He began his artistic career in the theater, where he first appeared on various stages in Germany and Switzerland, before appearing regularly in his native city from 1944 at the Staatliches Schauspielhaus.


He was able to appear in his first films from the mid-1930s.
To his appearances in front of the camera belong "Kater Lampe" (36), "Die gelbe Flagge" (37), "Tango Notturno" (37), "Stukas" (41) and "Die grosse Liebe" (42).
 
After the war he continued his film career.
His last cinematographic works include "Der Auftrag Höglers" (50), "Der Rat der Götter" (50), "Hunde, wollt ihr ewig leben" (59) and "Wie es Euch gefällt" (63).
