The actress Auguste Pünkösky had her first appearances in front of the camera already in the 10's in the productions "Die Faust des Riesen" (17) directed by Rudolf Biebrach and "Es werde Licht! 4. Teil: Sündige Mütter" (18) directed by Richard Oswald.

After the movie "Alkohol" (20) from Ewald Andre Dupont followed a longer interruptin before she made a comeback on the big screen in 1935.
To her movies of the 30's belong "Zirkus Saran" (35), "Konfetti" (36) and "Adresse unbekannt" (38).

She continued her career during wartime and took part in "Der Postmeister" (40) with Heinrich George, "Sommerliebe" (42), "Der grosse König" (42), "Wien 1910" (43) and "Der kleine Grenzverkehr" (43).

After the war she acted till the end of the 50's in front of the camera, to her movies belong "Umwege zu dir" (47), "Der Prozess" (48), "Eroica" (49), "Das doppelte Lottchen" (50), "Cordula" (50), "Götz von Berlichingen" (55) and "Einen Jux will er sich machen" (57).
