. The screenwriter Willy Rath wrote his first screenplays in 1919 and there came already several movies into being in his first year with "Die siebente Grossmacht" (19), "Die Rächerin" (19) and "Ubo Thomsens Heimkehr" (19). Willy Rath became a demanded screenwriter in the next years and he wrote the script for productions like "Der Menschheit Anwalt" (20), "Gräfin Walewska" (20), "Hanneles Himmelfahrt" (22), "Don Juan" (22), "Der Schatz der Gesine Jakobsen" (23), "Wilhelm Tell" (23), "Kampf um die Scholle" (25), "Zopf und Schwert" (26), "Die versunkene Flotte" (26), "U 9 Weddigen" (27) and "Richthofen, der rote Ritter der Luft" (27). There came only few more movies in the soundfilm era of the 30s into being to which Willy Rath wrote the screenplay. To these works belong "Die Mühle vom Schwarzwald" (34), "Schloss Hubertus "(34) and "In einem kühlen Grunde" (35). Besides his screenplays Willy Rath was also responsible as a movie director for the pictures - "Harry Hills Jagd auf den Tod" (29) and "Om mani padme hum " (29). Other
