. The director Max Reichmann began his cinematical career as a production manager where he worked among others for the director Ewald André Dupont. Finally he was able to realise his first movie as a co-director with "Die Geliebte des Mörder" (24). Afterwards he became established as a movie director with productions like "Der Kampf gegen Berlin" (26), "Derby" (26), "Manege" (28), "Ritter der Nacht" (28) and "Der Günstling von Schönbrunn" (29). His last movies came at the beginning of the 30s into being with "Ich glaub' nie mehr an eine Frau" (30), "Das lockende Ziel" (30), the huge success "Das Land des Lächelns" (30) and "Die grosse Attraktion" (31). As a Jew Max Reichmann had to leave Germany and he lived in France for a brief time. There he shot the movies "Camp volant" (32) and "L'apprenti sorcier" (33). Afterwards he emigrated to the USA where he was not able to continue his film career.
