| Tonio Riedl

. The actor Tonio Riedl learned his craft from Paul Senden in Cologne and then continued his training in Vienna with Raoul Aslan. Tonio Riedl began a relationship with Aslan in 1932 and was later adopted by him. He then made his stage debut in Bad Godesberg in 1927. This was followed by engagements at the Stadttheater Konstanz, the Kammerspiele in Munich, the Deutsche Volkstheater in Vienna, the Thalia Theater in Hamburg, and the Stadttheater in Reichenberg. He made his film debut in 1939 with “Drei Väter um Anna” (39), followed by the production “Ihr erstes Erlebnis” (39). He then concentrated entirely on his stage career again and became a member of the Burgtheater in Vienna. It was not until 1956 that he returned to the camera, appearing in productions such as “Einen Jux will er sich machen” (56), “Der Färber und sein Zwillingsbruder” (61), “Der Verschwender” (63), “Bärbel und der Riese Liederjan” (64), “Der eingebildete Kranke” (65), “Der Zerrissene” (67), “Die Enthüllung” (69), and “Die vertagte Nacht” (70). |
