The actress Thea Rosenquist made her stage debut already at the age of 17 at the Neues Stadttheater in Lübeck. It followed engagements in Flensburg and finally in Vienna.

There she was also able to launch a brief film career and she normally impersonated leading roles.
To her well-known silent movies of those years belong "Die Schlange der Leidenschaft" (18), "Maria Magdalena" (19), "Die Jüdin von Toledo" (19) and "Frühlingserwachen" (19).

Her last cinematical works came at the beginning of the 20s into being with "Gold" (20) and "Ludwig II" (22).

After her marriage in 1923 she retired from her artistic career.
When Austria became part of the German Reich she fled with her husband via Amsterdam and England to the USA. From there they travelled to Canada where they spent their remaining years.
