. The actor Erwin van Roy was born as Erwin Mylius in Schöneberg. He already had appearances at cabarets, varietes and revues from 1913 before he also impersonated his first movie role in the production "Die zerbrochene Puppe" (15). Ten years later he took part in an other silent movie called "Die Motorbraut" (25). His real career began at the beginning of the 30's and he appeared in productions like "Die grosse Sehnsucht" (30), "Der Weg nach Rio" (31), "Trenck" (32), "Salon Dora Green" (33), "So ein Flegel" (34), "Die lustigen Weiber" (36), "Das grosse Abenteuer" (37), "Dreizehn Mann und eine Kanone" (38) and "Dein Leben gehört mir" (39). Wit the outbreak of World War II he had to serve in the army. He did not continue his acting career after the war.
