. The actress Meli Sandt dedicated her career to the theater for the main part and she took part in movies only very seldom. To her movies belong Walter Schmidthässler's "Wege, die ins Dunkel führen" (17) with Nils Christander and Olga Engl in the leading roles. The movie tells the story of a marriage which gets into trouble because the husband has to less time for it. It followed "Wenn frei das Meer für deutsche Fahrt" (17) again directed by Regisseur Walter Schmidthäussler and with nearly the same cast as before, among them Nils Chrisander and Olga Engl. The story narrates the experience of a shipowner, his daughter and her follower. First the shipowner is against the marriage but at the end he gives the blessings for them after the follower has convicted a spy in the shipping company. |
