. The actor and director Heinz Sarnow already began his film career in 1913. In his first year he appeared in the movies "Falsche Perlen" (13) and "Seine Karriere" (13). His breakthrough in the film business followed from 1916 and Heinz Sarnow impersonated numerous roles in movies like "Die Rache der Toten" (16), "Das unheimliche Haus" (16), "Der lebende Tote" (17), "Zimmer Nummer sieben" (17), "Ikarus" (18), "Hiob" (18), "Seine Liebe war mein Tod" (19), "In den Krallen des Vampyrs" (19), "Mac als Juxgraf" (19) and "Triumph des Lebens" (19). His film career diminished in the 20s. As an actor he took part in "Fridericus Rex, 2. Teil: Vater und Sohn" (22), "Die Schlucht des Todes" (23) and "Die Flucht ins Paradies" (24). From 1919 Heinz Sarnow was also active as a movie director and he realised about eight movies till 1921. Among them are the movies "Nie sollst Du mich befragen" (19), "Durch dunkle Wolken fiel ein Strahl" (19), "Bal el Manach" (20) and "Der zeugende Tod" (21). After a longer interruption he made his comeback in 1930 with the sound film "Hans in allen Gassen" (30). Other smaller roles followed in the movies "So'n Windhund" (31), "Mein Leopold" (31), "Der Hauptmann von Köpenick" (31) and "Gitta entdeckt ihr Herz" (32).
