. The actor Bert Schmidt-Maris was able to launch a film career as a juvenile actor and he impersonated numerous roles in well-known movies from 1933. To his movies of the 30s belong "Das Meer ruft" (32), "Walzerkrieg" (33), "Die Finanzen des Grossherzogs" (34), "Pipin, der Kurze" (34), "5 Millionen suchen einen Erben" (38), "Geheimzeichen LB 17" (38) and "Kitty und die Weltkonferenz" (39). In this time he already took over numerous engagements as a production manager. During World War II followed only few more movies like "Der Weg zu Isabel" (40), "Alles für Gloria" (41) and "Das Himmelblaue Abendkleid" (41). Afterwards he had to serve in the war for the Reichsrundfunk. He was not able to continue his film career after the war but he got still engagements as a production assistant and production manager. He founded the Maris Film GmbH in 1964 and produced few movies before the company was dissolved in 1972. It lasted nearly 50 years before he made a brief comeback in front of the camera when he took part in the serial "Praxis Bülowbogen" (88).
