Hermine Strassmann-Witt

. The actress Hermine Strassmann-Witt was born as the daugther of the actor Julius Witt and the actress Fanny Witt. Like her parents she launched a theater career and she made her stage debut as a child in Düsseldorf in 1880. In the next years followed engagements at other theaters, among them in Leipzig and Hanover. Hermine Strassmann-Witt also appeared in numerous silent movies from 1919. To these productions belong "Das Glück der Irren" (19), "Kameraden" (19) and "Irenes Fehltritt" (19). Her last cinematical works came in the 20s into being with "Der Spuk des Lebens" (20), "Verlogene Moral" (21), "Scherben" (21), "Sturmflut des Lebens" (21) and "Zwischen Tag und Traum" (22). Hermine Strassmann-Witt was married with the actor Julius Strasmann. Her daughter Tochter Lotte Witt became an actress too.
