. The actress Gerda Maria Terno made her stage debut at the Theater in Osnabrück in 1929. In the next years followed engagements in Aachen, Cologne and Berlin. She joined the film business at the end of the 30s and she impersonated support roles in the productions „Yvette“ (38), „Spiel im Sommerwind“ (39), „Der Florentiner Hut“ (39), „Paradies der Junggesellen“ (39), „Meine Tochter tut das nicht“ (40), „Blutsbrüderschaft“ (41), „Meine Freundin Josefine“ (42), „Grossstadtmelodie“ (43) and „Ein Mann mit Grundsätzen?“ (43). After the war she only appeared once in front of the camera for „Derby“ (49). Instead her voice was to hear more regular on the big screen as dubbing actor for stars like Janet Leigh and Deborah Kerr – an activity she performed till to the middle of the 50s. |
