Anton Tiller

The actor Anton Tiller learnt his acting abilities by Joseph Lewinsky and Alexander Strakosch.
Afterwards he began his stage career at the Theater in der Josefstadt where he appeared in 1901 for the first time. It followed other engagements at different theaters in Austria.

Finally he also got engagements abroad and he was acting in Switzerland, Czechoslovakia and Germany.

When he served in World War I he remained active in his environment and he managed a Fronttheater.

From 1917 Anton Tiller also impersonated roles in silent movies.
To these productions belong "Der Schandfleck" (17), "Fred Roll" (18), "Der Stern von Damaskus" (20), "Der Todesweg auf dem Piz Palü" (20), "Der weisse Tod" (21), "Die Schuldigen" (22), "Der Höllenhund" (23) and "Das verbotene Land" (24).

With the rise of the sound film he concentrated to the theater again. There he was not only active as an actor but also managed some theaters as a director.

In the sound film era he only took part in the movies "Unser Kaiser" (33) and "Ich suche Dich" (56).

Anton Tiller was married with the actress Erika Körner, their daughter is the famous actress Nadja Tiller.
