. The actress Erika Unruh took part in her first movies in 1919 with "Der Herr der Liebe" (19) and "Maria Evere" (19). In the 20s followed other silent movies like "Tötendes Schweigen" (20), "Kämpfende Herzen" (20), "Vier um die Frau" (21), Fritz Lang's "Der müde Tod" (21), "Irrende Seelen" (21) and "Der Mann im Hintergrund" (22). Her first and only sound film came in 1930 into being with "Das gestohlene Gesicht" (30). Since Erika Unruh was married to Robert Klein, who was of Jewish origin, she emigrated with him and their daughter to the USA via London. |
