Claudius Veltée

. The director Claudius Veltée was already active in the entertainment industry and he learnt his ability at the panopticon of his father. Claudis Veltée launched his own panopticon in 1896 before he dedicated to the new arising film business. It is said that he took part as an actor in 1908 in the movie "Von Stufe zu Stufe" (08). He realised few movies as a director from 1911 with "Hoffmanns Erzählungen" (11), "Die Glückspuppe" (11) with Max Bing and Mizzi Bittner and "Trilby" (12) with Paul Askonas and Mrs. Galfres-Hubermann. Together with his sister, the director Luise Kolm, her husband Anton Kolm and the later husband, the director Jakob Fleck, he founded a filmproduction company. From this company developed later the company "Kunstfilm-Industrie". |
