. The actor Georg Vogelsang began his career at the theater where he took part in numerous plays. He came late to the film business at the age of 37. He made his film debut in 1913 with the production "Der Ausgestossene"
(13), it followed "Der schwarze Jack" (18), "Der bayerische Hiasel"
(20) and "Die Gemeinde von St. Helena und ihr Kaplan" (20).
After that he concentrated to the theater again and only returned to
the big screen at the end of the 30's. He had a successful comeback with
the movies "Der Edelweisskönig" (39) and "Die Pfingstorgel" (39).
One year later he achieved great popularity with his role as the Rosenbauer
Nicodemus in the movie "Die Geierwally" (40).
He was able to continue his career after the war till his death. To
his last movies belong "Königskinder" (50), "Rausch einer Nacht" (50)
and "Der letzte Schuss" (51).
