Melanie Webelhorst

After completing her schooling, actress Melanie Webelhorst moved to Berlin, where she attended the German Theater's acting school from 1910 to 1912.

She then made her stage debut at the German Theater in the play “Goethe's Faust II.” Over the next two years, she took on further roles before moving to Munich, where she successfully continued her stage career.

In 1935, she made her film debut in “Er weiss, was er will” (35), followed by “Spiel auf der Tenne” (37), “Der rettende Engel” (40), and “Der verkaufte Grossvater” (41).

After World War II, she continued to perform regularly in the theater, followed by a few more films such as “Die drei Dorfheiligen” (49), “So sind die Frauen” (50), “Der Geigenmachern von Mittenwald” (50) and “Die fröhliche Wallfahrt” (56).

In addition to her work as an actress, she was also frequently active as a voice actress. She lent her voice to numerous radio plays and also wrote several radio fairy tales.
