The actress Hilde Weissner was born as Hildegard Margot Helene Weissbrodt
in Stettin.
Afte first acting lessons by the actor Herbert Hübner she made
her stage debut in 1929 at the Schiller-Theater in Altona. Other important
stations were Hamburg, Prag and Berlin.
She made her film debut in 1933 with "Die Finanzen des Grossherzogs"
(33). She became established in the next years with strong women parts
which sometimes were antagonists of the law.
To her well-known movies of the 30's belong "Der Mann mit der Pranke"
(35), "Traumulus" (35), "Der Mann, der Sherlock Holmes war" (37), "Der
unmögliche Herr Pitt" (38) and "Lauter Lügen" (38).
Sheh only appeared in few movies during wartime, so in "Ein Mann auf
Abwegen" (40), "Trenck, der Pandur" (40), "Diesel" (42) and "Grossstadtmelodie"
(43).
The theater was the hub of her career again after the war. In movies
she only acted now and then. To her post-war movies belong "Geliebte Feindin"
(55), "Ein idealer Gatte" (58), "Die Dubarry" (63) and "Die Nibelungen"
(66)
She also took part in some episodes of the TV serial "Der Kommissar"
and was involved in first episode of the TV serial "Derrick" of all.
Her last feature movie was "Schöner Gigolo, armer Gigolo" (78),
among others with Marlene Dietrich.
