He also made his film debut in 1932 with the production "Mieter Schulze gegen alle". But it ltook four more years till he was able to gain a foothold in the film business.
Till the end of war he appearedin movies like "Verräter" (36), "Du und ich" (38), "Mann für Mann" (39), "Friedrich Schiller" (40), "Kampfgeschwader Lützow" (41) and "Titanic" (43).

After the war he worked for the theater again most of the time. In the early post-war film he only took part in one movie called "Razzia" (47), but the film business kept in the background.
Only in the 60's he returned and acted again in front of the camera. To his last movies belong "Unter Ausschluss der Öffentlichkeit" (61), "Winnetou und Shatterhand im Tal der Toten" (68) and the serial "Arbeitsgericht" (73).
