. The actress Käthe Wittenberg was a busy stage actress in the first instance. She begann her career in Bromberg, it followed engagements in Posen, Zurich, Berlin, Dessau, Leipzig and Hamburg. But she was also able to gain a foothold in the early silent movie era of the 10s and she took part in "Geschwister" with Louis Ralph, "Die Czernowska" (13) with Bernd Aldor, Rudolf Meinert's "Ferdinand Lasalle" (18) with Ernst Behmer, "Die Bettelgräfin" (18) directed by Joe May with Hermann Picha, Mia May and Heinrich Peer and "Das Buch Esther" (19) with Michael Bohnen and Wilhelm Diegelmann. Afterwards her film career diminished rapidly. In the 20s she only took part in one more movie called "Szelam aleikum" (20) with Ludwig Christ.
