The actress Toni Wittels elonged to the successful stage actresses at the beginning of the 20th century and she was reputed to be one of the most noted acting teachers.

She came relatively late to the film business when she already was over 40 years old, she made her flm debut with "Der Jäger von Fall" (18). In the next years followed other successful appearances in front of the camera, among them the productions "Das Opfer der Isis" (19), "Der Verfluchte" (20), "Das ungeschriebene Gesetz" (21), "Um Liebe und Thron" (22), "Sterbende Völker" (22), "Zwei Menschen" (23) and "In den Sternen steht es geschrieben" (25).

Toni Wittels was married with the actor Franz Stury.
