. The actress Lina Woiwode began her career at the theater where she appeared successfully for many decades. Among others she acted at the Burgtheater and at the "Wiener Bühnen" regularly. Her first contact with the film business was during the silent movie era and her first appearance was in "Wenn die Liebe auf den Hund kommt" (17). It followed other silent movies like "Fürst S.S." (19), "Don Juan" (19), "Verfehltes Ziel" (20) and "Elixiere des Teufels" (20). Afterwards she concentrated to the theater again, only in the sound film era of the 30s she returned to the big screen. To her works of those years belong "Ihre Majestät die Liebe" (31), "Es war einmal ein Walzer" (32), "Die grausame Freundin" (32), "Vorstadtvariete" (35) and "Anton, der Letzte" (39). Her last cinematical works came in the 40s into being with "Ein Leben lang" (40), "Das Ferienkind" (43) and "Wiener Mädeln" (49). Lina Woiwode was married with the actor Oskar Sima.
