The actress Gusti Wolf had her greatest triumphes at the theater, especially
the Burgtheater was a second home for her.
She took acting lessons by Karl Forest for a short time and worked her
way up at stages in the following years.
The film business too spotted the petite actress. To her first movies
belong "Die Austernlilli" (37), "Kleines Bezirksgericht" (38), "Fasching"
(39), "Falstaff in Wien" (40) and "Orient-Express" (44).
When her apartment was destroyed several times during bomb attacks,
Raoul Aslan called for her and gave her an engagement at the Burgtheater
where she worked for the next 50 years.
Her engagements for movies also increased and she took part in well-known
productions like "Alles Lüge" (48), "Jetzt schlägt's 13 (50),
"Der schweigende Mund" (51), "Rosen-Resli" (54) and "Einen Jux will er
sich machen" (57).
Besides her activity for the theater and movies she also became demanded
for TV productions from the 60's, but her appearances in front of the camera
remained rare.
To her last movies belong "Das Riesenrad" (61), "Der Musterknabe" (63),
the serial "Kottan ermittelt" (81-83), "Vier Frauen sind einfach zuviel"
(92) and "Die 3 Posträuber" (98).
