. The actor Martin Wolfgang was born as Martin Chassel in Magdeburg. He began his artistic career at the theater where he made his stage debut in Elbing. In the next years followed engagements in Stralsund, Berlin, Essen and Vienna. He entered the film business in 1920 with his role Hans Conrad in "Satanas" (20) directed by Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau In the next years followed other appearances in silent movies, among them "Betrogene Betrüger" (21), "Die Tigerin" (22), "Der Liebesroman des Cesare Ubaldi" (22), as Clown Bobby "Die Liebe ist der Frauen Macht" (24), as Franz "Der krasse Fuchs" (26), playing the role of Mitja in "Rasputins Liebesabenteuer" (28) and finally as theater agent Brillant "Serenissimus und die letzte Jungfrau" (28). |
