. The actor Holbrook Blinn was especially well-known for his performances and his work as a director on the stages. He already made his stage debut at the age of six years. It followed huge successes on Broadway both as an actor and director and finally the film business became aware of him. He made his film debut as an actor in 1914 with "The Whishing Ring: An Idyll of Old England" (14), it followed the silent movies "The Boss" (15), "McTeague" (16), "The Unpardonable Sin" (16),"The Weakness of Man" (16), "Pride" (17), "The Empress" (17) and "The Madonna of the Slums" (19). His last cinematical works came in the 20's into being with "Rosita" (23), "Yolanda" (24), "The New Commandment" (25) and "The Masked Woman" (27). During his vacation he was thrown from a horse and caught a wound at
his arm. The wound seemed to heal well but then the wound became infected
which led to the death of Holbrook Blinn at the age of 56.
