. The actress Dorothy Boyd began her film career in 1926 with the movies "The Veteran" (26), "Dream Faces" (26) and "The Ball of Fortune" (26), always under the direction of Hugh Croise. Other silent movies were "Toni" (27) with Jack Buchanan, "Somehow Good" with Stewart Rome, "The Sentence of Death" (27) with Owen Nares, "The Constant Nymph" (28) with Ivor Novello and "Easy Virtue" (28) directed by Alfred Hitchcock. In the 30's followed the height of her career and she took part in numerous movies. To these productions belong "Love Lies" (31) directed by Lupino Lane, "A Shot in the Dark" (33), "Virginia's Husband" (34), "It Happened in Paris" (35) directed by Carol Reed, "A Touch of the Moon" (36) and "Romance à la carte" (38). Her last movie was "Shadowed Eyes" from 1940.
