1871 - 1936

At the age of 43 he began a chapter in his career and took part in movies.
To these productions belong "The Master Mind" (14), "The Walls of Jericho" (14), "The Spell of the Yukon" (16) and "Someone Must Pay" (19).

His engagements for movies became more intensive in the 20's still he also appeared on stages and took part in several revues in the next years.
To his silent movies of the 20's belong "His Temporary Wife" (20), "The Curse of Drink" (22), "Restless Wives" (24), "The Sixth Commandment" (24), "Wildfire" (25), "Paradise for Two" (27), "Finders Keepers" (28), "Conquest" (28) and "The Gamblers" (29).

In the 30's followed again numerous roles in well-known production he was able to impersonate just before his death. To these movies belong "All Quiet on the Western Front" (30), "Rough Waters" (30), "Kismet" (30), "The She-Wolf" (31), "Platinum Blonde" (31), "Mata Hari" (31), "As You Desire Me" (32), "Madame Butterfly" (32), "Duck Soup" (33) with the Marx Brothers, "Beloved" (34), "Treasure Island" (34) and "The Marriage Bargain" (35).
