. The actor Jack Buchanan was successful as a singer as well as an actor on stage and in the movies. He began his career in 1912 on British stages, in 1924 he also appeared on Broadway for the first time. He made his film debut in 1917 with "Auld Lang Syne" (17). It followed other silent movies like "Her Heritage" (19), "Settled Out of Court" (25), "Bulldog Drummond's Third Round" (25), "Confetti" (27) and "Paris" (29). In the 30's and 40's he took part in other well-known productins,among them "Monte Carlo" (30), "Good Night, Vienna" (32), "That's a Good Girl" (33), "Brewster's Millions" (35), Charlie Chaplin's "Limelight" (36), "The Sky's the Limit" (38), "Alias the Bulldog" (39), "The Middle Watch" (40) and "Jack Armstrong" (47). His last movies came in the 50's into being and he acted in "The Band
Wagon" (53) with Fred Astaire, "As Long as They're Happy" (55) and "Les
carents du Major Thompson" (55).
