The actress Milla Davenport acted successfully as a stage actress on
different stages and often took part in plays together with her husband
and actor Harry Davenport.
Her first appearance in front of the camera was in 1916 for "Trapping
the Bachelor", it followed the silent movies "Her Finishing Touch" (17),
"The Girl Who Stayed at Home" (19) and "The Brat" (19).
Her most busy time in the film business were in the 20's, beside it
she kept also active as a stage actress.
To her well-known movies of those years belong "Stronger Than Death"
(20), "Faith" (20), "Patsy" (21), "The Man Who Waited" (22), "The Christian"
(23), "The Red Lily" (24), "Wild West" (25), "Crossed Signals" (26), "The
King of Kings" (27) and "Sins of the Fathers" (28).
To her few talkies in the 30's belong "Merrily We Go to Hell" (32),
"The Defense Rests" (34), "The Wedding Night" (35) and "Human Cargo" (36).
