The actress Alice Delysia was born as Alice Lapize in France. In the 20's she rose to one of the most exciting stars of the London stages.

She began her career in Paris at the Moulin Rouge but only when she was spotted by the producer C.B. Cochran who engaged her for London, Alice Delysia became star. Her provocate appearance and her wonderful voice led her from revue to revue.

With her cabaret numbers in the "Cafe de Paris" in London of the 20's and 30's she was the talk of the day.
During World War II she was involved in troup performances in North Africa.

Alice Delysia only appeared seldom in front of the camera. To her few movies belong "She" (16) and "Evensong" (34).

When she got married in the 50's she retired from her career and lived in Teneriffa.
