. The actor Julian L'Estrange was born as Julian Boyles. He joined the film business in 1915 where he remained active till to his premature death. In his first movie he impersonated the role of Pasquale in "The Morals of Marcus" (15) at Maria Doros side. The movie was directed by Hugh Ford and Edwin S. Porter who also directed all the other movies of Julian L'Estrange in 1915. It followed "Sold" (15) with Pauline Frederick, "Zaza" (15) with Pauline Frederick and "Bella Donna" (15), again with Pauline Frederick. Afterwards came only few more movies into being, among them "The Girl with the Green Eyes" (16) playing Edward Travers, "The Quest of Life" (16) with the then unknown Rudolph Valention and "Daybreak" (18) with Evelyn Brent. Julia L'Estrange died at the age of 38 in New York at the infamous Spanish influenza. Julian L'Estrange was married with the actress Constance Collier. |
