The actress Benita Hume conquered the big screen in the 20's and impersonated roles in movies like "The Happy Ending" (25), "South Sea Bubble" (27), "High Treason" (28) and "The Wrecker - Der Würger" (29). With the rise of the talkies she had her greatest successes in the 30's. She appeared in the productions "The Lady of the Lake" (30), "The House of the Arrow" (30), "The Flying Fool" (31), "Women Who Play" (32), "Sally Bishop" (32), "Men of Steel" (32), "Only Yesterday" (33), "The Private Life of Don Juan" (34), "Jew Süss" (34), "The Garden Murder Case" (36), "Tarzan Escapes" (36) and "The Last of Mrs. Cheyney" (37). After that she retired from the film business and had a short comeback in the 50's in some TV productions. Benita Hume was among others married with the actors Ronald
Colman and George Sanders.
