The actress Lilly Jacobsson became a popular movie star in the early Swedish silent movie era.

She made her film debut in "Mor och dotter" (12) directed by Mauritz Stillen, it followed the movies "Musikens makt" (12) and "Närlamklockan ljuder" (13).

In 1914 followed numerous movies, often directed by Mauritz Stiller again. To these works belong "Gränsfolken" (13), "För sin kärleks skull" (14), "Stormfageln" (14) und Victor Sjöström's "Strejken" (14).

Lilly Jacobsson experienced the international breakthrough with "Maharadjahens yndlingshustru I" (17) in which she played the role of Elly van Langen at Gunnar Tolnaes' side and with the science fiction movie "Himmelskibet" (18) playing the daughter of the Martian leader.

Afterwards followed movies like "Testamentets Hemmelghed" (18), "Hendes Helt" (19) and the sequel "Maharadjahens yndlingshustru II" (19).

Her last movie presented her in the role of Ophelia in "Hamlet" (21) at Asta Nielsen's side.
