The actress Mary Jerrold first worked at the theater before she entered
the film business in 1916 with the movie "Disraeli" (16).
She took part sporadically in silent movies in the next years like
"Midnight Gambols" (19) and "Parted" (25).
Her roles in front of the camera increased with the rise of the talkies
and she impersonated support roles in the productions "Alibi" (31), "Blind
Spot" (32), "The Great Defender" (34), Alfred Hitchcock's "Jamaica Inn"
(39) and "Inspector Hornleigh on Holiday" (39).
She kept busy in the film business in the next years till to her death.
To her last movies belong "The Man at the Gate" (41), "The Way Ahead"
(44), "The Magic Bow" (46), "Woman Hater" (49) and "Meet Me Tonight" (52).
