The actor David Kirby who was also called Red Kirby began his cinematical
career in 1917 with the silent movie "The Girl in the Checkered Coat (17).
In the next years followed other movies like "Blindfolded" (17), "The
White Lie" (18) and "Marked Men" (19).
The heyday of his film career followed in the 20s where he impersonated
numerous roles in different productions like western, crime, adventure
and melodrama.
To his well-known movies of those years belong "Shame" (21), "The Greatest
Menace" (23), "The Mask of Lopez" (24), "The Spirit of the USA" (24), "The
Dangerous Coward" (24), "Easy Money" (25), "The Lawful Cheater" (25), "The
Fighting Edge" (26), "The Night Owl" (26), "The Royal American" (27) and
"Burning Bridges" (28).
After a longer interruption followed his only sound film with "Ann Vickers"
(33).
David "Red" Kirby died at the age of 73 in 1954.
