. The actress Adele Lane made first experiences on the stage when she joined the new medium film in 1912. Within no time she became established as a movie star. To her first movies belong "An Indian's Gratitude" (12), "The Detective's Conscience" (12), "The Sand Storm" (12), "Good for Evil" (13), "The Quality of Mercy" (13), "The Story of Venus" (14), "The Skull and the Crown" (14) and "The Man Hater" (14). As fast as her film career began as fast ended the career again. Already in 1915 came her last cinematical works into being, among them "A Modern Enoch Arden" (15), "Her Own Blood" (15), "The Opening Night" (15), "The Valley of Regeneration" (15) and "The Markswoman" (15). Afterwards Adele Lane retired from the film business.
