The actress Gladys Mason began her film career in 1916 with "The Queen Mother" (16), it followed the movies "The Veiled Woman" (17) with Cecil Humphreys and "Her Greatest Performance" (19) with Ellen Terry and Dennis Neilson-Terry. The main focus of her career remained on stage still she also took part in some movies of the 20s, among them "A Man's Shadow" (20), "The Shadow of Evil" (21) with Cecil Humphreys, "The Amazing Partnership" (21), "Roses in the Dust" (21), "Lamp in the Desert" (23) and "A Daughter of Love" (25) with Violet Hopson and John Stuart. It followed a longer interruption before she acted in her only sound film - "The Howard Case" (36) with Olive Sloane. |
