. The actor Bruce McRae became an established stage actor before he gained a foothold in the still new medium film. He soon belonged to the demanded actors on Broadway, often together with the famous actress Ethel Barrymore. He finally made his film debut with the movie "The Ring and the Man" (14). In the next years he acted again in front of the camera, to these productions belong "The Ring and the Man" (14), "Via Wireless" (15), "Hazel Kirke" (16), "The Green Swamp" (16), "The Chain Invisible" (16), "Beatrice Fairfax" (16) and "A Star Over Night" (19). He appeared in his last movie in 1922 called "The World's a Stage" (22), afterwards he retired as an actor. Five years later he died at the of 60. His brother Duncan McRae became an actor too. |
