. The actress Mabel Poulton had worked has a secretary at the Alhambra
Theater when she was able to gain a foothold as an actress by chance.
Mabel Poulton became a star in the next years and fill the audience
with enthusiasm with her roles in "Mary-Find-the-Gold" (21), "The Good
in the Garden" (21), "The Ball of Fortune" (26), "A Daughter in Revolt"
(27), "Not Quite a Lady" (28) and finally "The Constant Nymph" (28).
She experienced the height of her career at the end of the silent movie
era and belonged to the most popular British stars together with Betty
Balfour.
To these movies belong "Escape" (30), "Terror on Tiptoe" (36) and "Crown
vs. Stevens" (36).
