. The actor Thomas W. Ross began his career at the theater in 1902 where he remained active for more than 40 years. He entered the film business in 1913 with "Checkers" (13), it followed the production "The Only Son" (14). His main focus remained to the theater but he also continued his film career in the next years and especially at the beginning of the 40s he was a busy movie actor. To his silent movies of the 20s belong "The Fatal Hour" (20), "Fine Feathers" (21) and "The Smoking Trails" (24). As a stage actor he had no problem with the conversion to the sound film still it lasted till 1935 before he appeared in his first talky "Wreckless" (35). It followed only the movie "Blondie Takes a Vacation" (39) in that decade. Till to 1940 his cinematical works were limited in numbers, from 1940 his engagements in front of the camera increased suddenly. Thomas W. Ross impersonated roles in movies like "Remember the Night" (40), "Phantom Raiders" (40), "The Man Who Talked Too Much" (40), "Meet John Doe" (41), "The Richest Manin Town" (41), "The Remarkable Andrew" (42), "Take a Letter, Darling" (42) and "Yankee Doodle Dandy" (42). Afterwards he retired from the film business.
