. The Italian actor Ernesto Sabbatini was born into an artistic family in which his great-grandfather Adelaide Ristori was an actor. But also Ernesto's parents Heinrich Sabbatini and Henrietta Rissone Sabbatini were active as actors. Ernesto Sabbatini made his stage debut in 1899 at Hermes Novelli's side, later followed appearances with Teresa Mariani and Orestes Calabresi. He remained active at the theater during his whole career, beside it
he was also able to launch a film career from 1914.
His last movie for the present followed in 1920 with "L'amore di Loredana" (20), afterwards it lasted till 1933 before he restarted his film career again. To his well-known movies of the 30s belong "Piccola mia" (33), "Pierpin" (36), "Cargaison blanche" (37) and "Torna, caro ideal!" (39). Druing and after World War II he continued his career successfully both
on stage and in movies.
