The singer and actress Rita Sacchetto attended a dancing school after visiting a show where she saw the legendary Isadora Duncan. 

Rita Sacchetto made her stage debut in 1905 at the Künstlerhaus in Munich and she soon inspired the public with her dancing interpretation, among them also well-known painters whose works she transposed into dance acts.

Few years later followed engagements around the world, from 1908 to 1909 she toured in North and South America with the height "New York Metropolitan Opera" and in 1910 she appeared in Russia.

Afterwards she appeared on different stages in Europe, e.g. in Paris and Berlin.

It didn't take long and Rita Sacchetto got offered her first film roles, often for the Danish Nordisk film company. 
To her silent movies belong "Fra fyrste til knejpevaert" (13), "Die Nixenkönigin" (16), "Rovedderkoppen" (16) and "Sabina" (17).

Rita Sacchetto lived in Germany from 1914 to 1918 and also gave dancing lessons. To her most famous students belong Valeska Gert and the mysterious Anita Berber.

When Rita Sacchetto had an accident she retired from the stage and moved to Poland. From 1930 she lived in Italy where sie died in Nervy near Genua in 1959.
