The actress Miriam Seegar began her acting career at the theater where
she had first success in London.
Also in England she made her film debut with "The Price of Divorce"
(28) - but the film was only released in 1930 with additional sound - it
followed the productions "Valley of the Ghosts" (28), "The Love Doctor"
(29) and "When Knights Were Bold" (29).
She went to Hollywood in 1929 where she was able to continue her film
career.
To her well-known movies of the USA belong "Fashions in Love" (29)
with Adolphe Menjou, "What A Man" (30), "Big Money" (30) with Eddie Quillan,
"The Lion and the Lamb" (31) with Carmel Myers, "The Woman Between" (31)
with Lili Damita and "False Faces" (32).
She got married with the well-known director Tim Whelan in 1932 and
after the birth of her first son she retired from the film business.
Miriam Seegar began a second professional career as an interior decorator
which she practised till 1995.
In 1957/1958 she had to cope with her biggest strokes in her live when
first her husband died and according to unconfirmed information on IMDB
both her sons within 9 months.
Miriam Seegar died in 2011 at the age of 103 years.
