The actor Reginald Sharland made first acting experiences at the theater before he was able to launch a brief film career from 1927.

After his first movie "On with the Dance" (27) with Leslie Hanson and Phyllis Monkman he also appeared in the productions "Woman to Woman" (29) with Betty Compson and impersonating a small role in "The Show of Shows" (29) with John Barrymore, Mary Astor and many other stars.

He was able to continue his film career in the 30s of short duration but was engaged normally for smaller parts.
To these movies belong "Inside the Lines" (30) with Betty Compson and Ralph Forbes, "Scotland Yard" (30) with Edmund Lowe, Joan Bennett and Donald Crisp, "Born to Love" (31) with Constance Bennett and Joel McCrae, "Long Lost Father" (34) with John Barrymore and Ferdinand Gottschalk, directed by Ernest B. Schoedsack as well as "Shock" (34) - a war movie with Ralph Forbes.

Besides his activity as a film actor he was also engaged as a regular actor for the then very popular radio plays.
