. The actor Frantisek Smolik was born in Prague and was a busy actor of the Czech film. He made his film debut in 1920 with "Za svobodu naroda" (20), it followed the silent movies "Cerni myslivci" (21), "Babicka" (22) and "Roman hloupého Honzy" (27). The most busy era followed in the 30's and he took part in the movies "Treti rota" (31), "Zahada modrého pokoje" (33), "Pan na roztrhani" (34), "Pater Vojtech" (36), "Kvocna" (37), "Batalion" (37), "Zborov" (38), "Turbina" (39) and "Humoreska" (39). He was able to continue his career successful during World War II and remained busy as an actor till the end of the 60's. In his last decades he impersonated roles in the movies "Cekanky" (40),
"Teticka" (41), "Barbora Hlavsova" (43), "Jarni pisen" (44), "Krakatit"
(47), "Jestrab kontra Hrdlicka" (53), "Jan Hus" (54), "Psohlavci" (55),
"Legenda o lasce" (57), "Romeo, Juia a tma" (60), "Ikarie XB 1" (63) and
"Na Zizkove valecném voze" (68).
