. The actress Ann Trevor was able to launch a short-lived film career in the silent film era of the 20s. After her debut with the classic "Wuthering Heights" (20), where she impersonated the role of Cathy at the side of Milton Rosmer, Colette Brettel and Warwick Ward, she took part in productions like "Build Thy House" (20) with Henry Ainley, Claude Rains and Warwick Ward, "A Tale of Two Cities" (22) with Clive Brook and J. Fisher White and "The Grass Orphan" (22) with Margaret Bannerman, Reginald Owen and Jack Trevor. After a longer absence she returned to the big screen with "Maria Marten
or the Murder in the Red Barn" (35) for a last time, in 1939 followed her
last appearance in front of the camera with the TV production "Under Suspicion"
(39) directed by Basil Dearden.
