. The actress Nadia Gray was born as Nadia Kujnir-Herescu in Bucharest. She made first experiences as an actress in the middle of the 40's at the theater. After her marriage with the former air ace and prince Constntin Cantacuzino the couple had to flee from Romania in 1947 when the communists took over the power. In Paris she used the pseudonym Nadia Gray and was able to coninue her stage career. She made her film debut in 1949 with "L'inconnu d'un soir" (49), it followed the movies "The Spider and the Fly" (49) and "Monseigneur" (49). Beside her French movies she also took part in German, Italian, Spanish and English production in her career. She became established as a demanded actress in the 50's and impersonated numerous roles in well-known movies like "Valley of Eagles" (51), "Top Secret" (52), "Puccini" (53), "Il Cardinale Lambertini" (54), "Il maestro di Don Giovanni" (54), "Hengst Maestoso Austria" (56), "Il diavolo nero" (57) and "Die Fledermaus" (59). The 60's marked her last decade in the film business where she appeared again in many popular movies. To these movies belong Fellini's "La dolce vita" (60),"Mr. Topaze" (61), "L'éventail de Lady Windermere" (61), "Maniac" (63), "The Crooked Road" (65), "Winnetou und sein Freund Old Firehand" (66), "Le plus vieux métier du monde" (67) and "The Naked Runner" (67). After her film career she lived in the USA and appeared as a singer.
